I need a title for this.. here's a brief description of the plot so far:
Last month her only link to the past died. Leaving her alone and lost in the world. To make it worse, she blames herself for his death. He's caught up in the middle of a firestorm. His best friend for life was killed last month, and now he has to try and pick up the pieces and discover what happened because no one else cares. One thing gives him a bit of hope, but he's nervous. She's the only other one who seems to really miss B, because she was his girlfriend. Maybe he can help her, and she can help him. This would be hard enough without the team of lunatics chasing after them at every turn....

I need a name for a story I'm writing. It's about a young policeman who gets permission to organize and train a group of teenagers to fight teenage corruption and crime, so he finds four different boys who all have had personal experience with teenage criminals.

I need help coming up with a title for my NaNo novel! I'm terrible at coming up with titles for stories. Maybe a little help will get my creative juices flowing. Okay, so here's a synopsis: 17-year-old Claire runs away from the orphanage she has been in for as long as she can remember, intending to search for her parents, who she had just found out may not be dead like she had assumed. But when she runs into a wealthy young man her age named James he shows her the futility and vagueness of her plan and she reluctantly stays in the city and accepts a job at James' father's Italian restaurant in Chinatown, and intends to save enough money to hire a private investigator to search for her parents. Claire learns many things about herself and about people through her friendship with James' family, and gradually comes out of her shell. But will it last? Also, James' family is Catholic, and that's a big part of the story. I should find a way to put that in the synopsis... so, she's getting to know a Catholic family and also finding herself surrounded by a Christianity she hadn't known existed, or hadn't known could last. I've still got some plot points to figure out but that's the gist of it.

Hmmm... I don't think so, since no one is exactly hiding... I don't think. Though you MIGHT HAVE, just MIGHT HAVE given me the filler for the big huge gigantic plot hole of death that I had! So I will definitely keep that title in mind!!

ok Another thing you could try is pulling up iTunes or something similar and start flipping through the songs to see if any of them strike you as some thing that could work as a novel title.

So I have question...
The first book in my fantasy series is currently titled Memory Ghosts
There is a perfectly legit reason for this title and it has nothing to do with real ghosts.
Here's the thing...would the title turn you off as a reader? Imagine fantasy book, fantasy cover, and this title Book One in The History of Earthom: Memory Ghosts
Knowing the story this title makes perfect sense since the story it is about the past catching up to one character and her two sons (the main characters). The mother (who is not exactly right in the head) always tells her elder son, "Raise no weapon, speak no word, don't let your brother's name be heard. For though some in their secrets often boast, all secrets are known by the Memory Ghosts." (The Memory Ghosts are actual creatures in the story.)
However...I am wondering if people just looking at that title might be confused about whether my book is a fantasy or a paranormal novel?
What do you think?

I think Memory Ghosts works for the book. I've only read the first chapter you've posted on your blog, but just from readying that, I couldn't think of any other title for it.

I'm trying to figure out a title for my nano novel...I haven't figured out too much of the whole plot, tbh, but I'm thinking that the title should have a Celtic feel, since it takes place in a Celticky land called Draioch. Basically, it's about this young prince, Caethal, whose father suddenly and mysteriously falls ill and dies, leaving the prince the throne, but Caethal goes through all these trials as he's trying to figure out who exactly his father was (he was never close to him and was sort of resentful of his father for not really caring for him), which has ramifications on Caethal's early rule, since he doesn't know whose side to take among his diplomats (who are conflicting with each other and cannot compromise) in the midst of an impending war, and he's clueless as to which courtiers are really rooting for him or which are being obsequious just for mercenary reasons. And thennnn in the middle of all this is another main character, a clear-sighted and intelligent young lady who begins to take up diplomacy and earns Caethal's trust, even though from his perspective, she tells and shows him very little about herself. Basically, because of her, she's able to help him rule (since she helps him eventually bring peace by using her magical powers), but she has a whole host of other personal issues herself, since she is of a lower class and her family is pushing her to become one of the more sycophantic ladies of the court to bring in some money to their name. I realise it all sounds kind of complicated and disorganised atm, so I can clarify any bits if needed! I would just like some title ideas to get some potential titles running in my head as I write. Also, if a snippet would help (albeit a snippet of very poor quality), I can send along one. Usually, I don't have an issue with titles, since I often figure out a title and run the plot from there, but it's a little difficult for me working backwards...
