I don't think any forum could be complete without this thread

I need to focus...my book needs quite a lot of editing! It certainly doesn't help that I've decided to change it from first person to third person...haha.

Yah.... Ultimately it's going to be better for the story, though.

At least that. I don't think I could change mine into 3rd person...that would be hard.

I've only ever written one short story in first person. It's one of my favourites. I don't think I have the skill to write a novel completely in first person, though.

I can only write in 1st person for the most part. I LOVE getting into the heads of my characters and writing out exactly how they react and what they think. But it does mean that I have to change view points kinda often. Personally I find writing in 3rd person almost limiting. I also write in present tense-not past tense like most authors do. I dont know why, it is just natural to me.

It's always a tough choice for me... I enjoy first person more, I think, so that's what I gravitate toward, but it depends on the story what I end up with.
I started writing Forgotten Memories in third person, then about halfway through decided to switch to first. Haha!
