As cool as that would be, I'm not sure it would be entirely appropriate for this forum. It would be hard to manage your character accounts, and your real one, and might get too confusing for other members to keep track of who characters are who's. If you want to do a journal post in your own journal as one of your characters, you can definitely do that. That's just my opinion though. Jansina as the admin should probably have the final say.

I totally understand that point and I agree! Someone should make a new forum and do that, me thinks. But don't listen to me, my mind goes nuts! Tomorrow I'll probably look back at this and say what an awful idea it was and why I bothered you guys on it! Lol

Maybe not a new forum, but a blog might work for that. If you wanted it to be multiple authors able to post on the blog, each could have their own section for their character, and yeah, I think it could work as a blog. Though, probably only 1 or 2 characters per author I would think, so it didn't get too crazy.

Another idea! Could someone make an Olympics thread? Everyone is rooting for someone and a country, so I thought maybe we could make little "Newspaper Headlines" kind of thing where someone picks a certain event and does a little reporting thing and posts it there. It would be writerly and fun! We could all be journalists...! Tell me what ya think!

^^As much as I LOVE the idea of Joe and Ella and Mical and others lurking around here, I have to agree with Elly. The blog sounds great, though! Another possibility would be to make a crowdvine site for our characters (similar to what we did with FTN a while ago, if you were part of that... basically Facebook but smaller--limited to people we invite). The Olympic thread sounds neat! I say go for it. I'm thinking put it in Anything Else, unless someone has another suggestion...

Okay I think this is where I would suggest this idea. What does everyone think about having a thread, in the Anything Else section, where, if people want to just have a friendly chat, can say they are in the chat room. If the mods don't want this or anyone else that is fine it is just a suggestion! ~Beckie

I think that's an alright thread to have.

^I concur. I know we have the chat requests thread, but since that's for times when you need writing help/ideas, methinks this would be a great addition. Go ahead and create it, Beckie!

Random thought....this forum is dedicated to writing, right? Since there's a lot of extra space that there wasn't on FTN, why don't we have it where separate threads can be created for poems and songs, like it was on quills & barbs, instead of one main thread for each? (or each poet/songwriter could create their own thread for all their poetry...I actually like that idea even more.) That way, it'd be a lot easier to read through poems and comment on them without having to scroll through 16 pages. And people would get more feedback, and you wouldn't have to feel rude for complimenting one person's poem and ignoring everyone else's.

I'd be okay with the idea. Allison is in charge there--what do you think?
