What do you do to beat your lack of motivation? Or has it completely taken over already? I drink coffee, change work locations, and force myself to stare at the page until words come out. Sometimes it still wins.

My lack of motivation can only be remedied with the thought of "I can do this without being disturbed for hours on end." I mostly lose motivation when I think, "Mom's gonna call me down to do something any minute now, I just know it." It may very well be an hour before she calls me down, but that whole hour I spend too much time worrying about being in the middle of something before I'm interupted that I just don't get it done.

Aw! I definitely know how that is. This morning I was unmotivated because I thought Mom was going to need my help at any moment (because she'd told me she would). Turned out she didn't need me till the afternoon...go figure. Ah well. That's what late night is for, right?

My lack of motivation is because I don't know what to write next

Ah. Mine is because I'm not sure what to cut and what to keep in my story...

For editing, my lack of motivation is more that it's my baby, and I don't want to tear it to pieces. For writing, probably the temptation to watch movies/tv shows, or sometimes, having read a good book (or something written by a friend that is really good) and I think "Oh mine is NEVER gonna be that good." and kind of just lose motivation. I currently have no motivation for just plotting my story. Could be because I've hit a fifty foot thick brick wall since I have no idea who the heck the baddie is.

I'm thinking of adding a chatroom on here...we could use it to hold brainstorming sessions sometimes... Thoughts?

I've added a bit more to my story but I still haven't written much of it. Tomorrow night might be see a bit of writing because we have Adoration tomorrow night.

You can do it! I got to chapter 2 and then life got busy! And I got a new computer. (Which is awesome!) When I'm done editing today I'll transfer my novel onto here and start working on it again.

Hehe, yes! I love that picture. I think I should totally print it off, and stick it to my wall, right above my laptop. Motivation.......it's an elusive thing, isn't it?

*giggles* It really is... My hope/plan is to spend the bulk of tomorrow (today?) doing nothing but editing. We'll see if that actually happens... If I actually focus on it I should have no trouble keeping my self-imposed deadline. Just gotta keep telling myself that.
