Lucky, I agree. Movies would do just fine without language, you have to close little kids ears when they do that, it's so annoying. And it is very disturbing.

Has anyone seen Snow White and The Huntsman, yet?? I tempted to go see it, just because I like anything fairytale-ish (even though it looks super dark).

I haven't... (I tend to wait for movies to come out on DVD). But Trissy went and loved it. I think she's going a second time... Her recommendation tends to mean the movie is awesome (that's been my experience thus far!).

My sister and her friend saw it I think. I REALLY want to see it even if it has violence and stuff.

Yes! I loved that movie (minus the language). It's definitely not for young children though.

I'm super excited for the Hobbit to come out! In the little town that I'll be moving to this fall, they have a theater. It's only up at 7:30 pm on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday. And tickets are $4!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Where I live now, it's 7-10 bucks!! So I hope they'll play the Hobbit there!

I'm going to see the Avengers for the fourth time tomorrow. Assuming I can wake up before eleven.
I'm going to be straight out and say that, frankly, language in movies doesn't bother me in the slightest. Maybe it's because I'm so indifferent to it (I grew up reading Tom Clancy and Stephen King, and the f-bomb gets dropped every two pages there, and I work in a restaurant, and, well, every other word is a cuss there), but I think it actually does have its place in movies.
Anyway, I'm really excited for the new Spider Man. I feel like it's going to be a LOT better than the previous three. And it has Emma Stone in it.
A great horror movie is the Cabin in the Woods. But it has a lot of language and some sex, so it's not for everyone.
TDKR is looking to be really good. I can't wait for it. And then, after that, I get to take a long break of looking forward to movies until the Hobbit comes out in December.

I agree that swearing can have a place in certain movies, but a lot of the time, it really isn't necessary. I can handle swearing, but when every second word a character says is an f-bomb, I am not okay with that (except in The King's Speech. That scene is just different. Might seem a little double standard, but it is a different type of scene). The new Spider Man does look like it will be a lot better than the Tobey Maguire ones. I just realized that Andrew Garfield, the actor playing Peter/Spider-Man, is in a couple Doctor Who episodes. The last Batman movie freaked me out. I haven't watched it since it came out in theaters. I'm not easily freaked out by scary things, but when the person/character is crazy like the Joker was, it creeps me out. I will most likely go see TDKR, but the Batman movies weren't my favourites. I want to rent a theater for when The Hobbit comes out. Just get a ton of friends together and have them bring siblings or cousins or other friends. A family we know rented the theater for LotR: RotK, and it was loads of fun. But you have to make sure you'd be able to sell out, otherwise they probably wouldn't rent it. I re-watched Sherlock Holmes: A Game of Shadows, the other night. It wasn't as good as I remembered. I still liked it. It had its funny parts, and all that, and I actually thought it was pretty cool how they had Sherlock and Moriarty both thinking out what could happen in their fight at the end. But it just didn't have the same excitement I remembered.

I am not so excited for Spidy. I really enjoyed the Toby Maguire ones, and I felt that the movies were spreading excellent messages, especially for main stream media. I felt horrible when they announced there wouldn't be a Spidy 4. They had it all set up perfectly for the lizard, what with the professor and all. I did like the actors, too. But, I am excited to see real web shooters with cartridges. And I also heard that the new Spider Man was going to be closer to the comic books, which I shall appreciate. So, I guess I'm mixed as to how I feel about the whole deal.
I am planning on going to the midnight premier of the Hobbit, and I'm so excited!!! Though I can't decide who to dress up as...

Has anyone been to see The Dark Knight Rises yet? I'm going with my brother tonight, but I'm one of those really weird people who likes to know what happens before they see the movie, so I'm hoping there's someone who can tell me whether Batman dies or not.

I haven't seen the Dark Knight Rises yet, but I'll probably maybe see it with my older brother soon!
The new Spidey was EPIC!! I absolutely loved it!! Is Andrew Gargield British? My brother says he is, but I don't believe him... I guess I should look it up.

The Dark Knight Rises was amazing!! But it was really tense. My friend and I were squeezing each others hands so hard at one point that they were almost numb.
