I'm trying to start my next story, but I can't figure out a name for the city in it.
It's a floating city (I'm not sure if it floats on water or air or both yet), set in a Steampunk (also possibly post-apocalyptic) world. I'd like the name to somehow be related to clocks, or gears, or cogs (for a plot point), BUT all I can think of are names like "Clocksdale" and "Gearton" etc., and I don't want the word clock, gear, or cog IN the name of the city itself.
Any ideas?

It isn't the title, though, it's just the name of the city I'm looking for...

Alright, sorry, I just misread something. For a city; What about, Pendulumton Ticktockville and that's all I can think of off the top of my head.

What about something having to do with Time? Or Time in another language? Some of my favorites are (Dutch) Tijd [Tijdstip], (Basque) Denbora, (Filipino) panahon, and (Hungarian) Idopont. Not saying you have to use this idea, but I have thought about using it myself on a number of occasions...just I haven't yet. Maybe you'll find this helpful!
