Character Fair

[Juliet]

Lacy hummed to herself, quietly, as she compared prices on flour and sugar.

[Jansina]

"Oh, that's okay," Chrissy said. "I can't count the number of toes I've stepped on! I'm Chrissy." She smiled again.

[Anna]

Delaney smiled down at the boy. "No, you're not. Just stay here, I'll get them for you."

[Catherine]

Benedict smiled, "Its a pleasure to meet you. Do you shop here often?"

[Jansina]

"Only when I'm hungry." Chrissy laughed. "Is there something you're looking for?"

[Sallie]

"Thanks," said Mikie, "I'm still learning my way around. I don't go out alone much."

[Catherine]

He sighed and looked over the things in his basket, "Yes actually, I need to find basil. I think it some type of fruit.."

[Jansina]

Chrissy raised an eyebrow. "Basil's a leaf... it's also the name of a character in a British TV show, but I'm guessing your looking for the former in this case. Do you want it fresh or dried?"

[Catherine]

He glances down at his list, "What's the difference? In case you can't tell, I don't usually cook-or shop for that matter.."

[Jansina]

"No, that wasn't obvious at all!" Chrissy giggles. "Dried would be...um...dried... like...sort of powdery, I guess? Or, at least, you could make it powdery. And fresh is like a salad leaf."

[Catherine]

"Okay, so then since I am making a salad I want fresh right?" Benedict said hopefully, "Maybe I should have gotten the actual olive oil instead of butter for the dressing..."

[Jansina]

"Oh dear...you really do need help, don't you? Butter... I guess I've never tried it, but I do not think it would make a good dressing. Oh, but yes--fresh basil is what you'll want for a salad."

[Catherine]

(lol, this is fun.)

"Yeah, my girlfriend usually is the one cooking meals for me and my family. So I thought I would try to cook for her on her birthday. But maybe I'll just take her out to eat." Benedict looks up at the ceiling and lets out a long breath, "Sorry, I dont' want to keep you from your shopping."

[Jansina]

Chrissy shrugged. "I don't have anywhere to be. I only come here when I know I can meander. Cooking for your girlfriend is the sweetest thing I've ever heard! I absolutely refuse to allow you to give up on the idea. What is your meal plan? I'll help find what you need."

[Juliet]

Lacy finished with the ingredients then she began pushing her cart to the fruit section. Lacy didn't pay attention and tripped right over a fruit stand. She fell to the floor, red with embarrassment.
