I've heard of Daddy Long Legs before, but I can't remember who it's by.
I really like the Percy Jackson series, and the Heroes of Olympus. I only read The Red Pyramid of the Kane Chronicles. I liked it, but it definitely wasn't my favourite. Definitely more into Greek than Egypt.

They're by Jean Webster. Daddy Long Legs is about an orphan girl who is sent to college by an anonymous benefactor. Dear Enemy is about the orphan girl's rich friend.

Huh. Those sound really good. I'll order them from the library, I think.
The Kane Chronicles are really not very good. Don't waste your time.

See, I loved the Kane Chronicles even better than PJO and HoO. I found it funny, action packed, and I really liked Sadie and Carter'r relationship. Plus, I liked that the Egyptian gods were involved more in the story. They are going to do a cross-over, though. In the Serpent's Shadow (3rd Kane Chronicle) they had Drew and... Oh dear... what was that girl's name... The one with the braces and blond pigtails. Piper helps her in the HoO. I forget

I finished reading the second Percy Jackson book this morning and I liked it and the first one as well I started reading a Lord Peter Wimsey book that my sister had gotten from the library and from the few pages I have read I don't really care for it that much. Though I should try reading more of it before I officially decide on whether or not I like t or not.

I have all of the PJ series and my friend let me borrow 'The Lost Hero' (an autographed one!! I'm still deciding if I should read the Kane ones...I'm not into 'gods' though, I like to focus on MY God. The One.

I actually read that before reading Daddy Long Legs. Actually, I've never read Daddy Long Legs. But I've heard of it! Dear Enemy is really great - though sometimes I wish I could see a bit of what's happening as it happens instead of reading as she writes it in her letters. I want to see how she feels when she discovers she's in love and at the end and how they look at each other! But still, it's a really great book.

Anybody heard of The Sister's Grimm? It is amazing!!! I just finished the last one yesterday! I've read those books! One of my friends recommended them to me, like, two years ago. And I've FINALLY been able to read the last one when I got it from the library last week! I got it on Wednesday night and stayed up and read it until 1 in the morning when I finished. I love those books!

Each has taught me a lot about the mythology, and how the gods were percieved so differently in the cultures. How did I miss that in the Serpents Shadow? guess I need to read it again... but The crossover will be amazing, I wonder how he'll mesh the two worlds.

thanks much Your Highness. ahhh good old Rickles. I agree---the Kane chronicles, while not terrible, aren't nearly as good as the Percy Jackson and Heroes of Olympus. Like my older brother says; Some characters you care about, and some you don't. I still found them enjoyable---I mean it's Rick Riordan. Percy is still my favorite but I lurve Leo....and NICO!!!!!! Nico. Actually HE might be my favorite.
